We offer our Contractor Members a wide
variety of benefits.  Here are just a few:

Special First-Year Membership Benefits

For the first year of membership, the new Active Contractor member will receive one complimentary registration to the Winter Convention (pre-registration required). The contractor will be responsible for travel and hotel expenses, but Missouri LICA will pick up his/her registration fee. ($160 value)

In addition, the new contractor’s spouse will receive a complimentary $50,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment policy for the first year of membership, as long as the spouse meets the insurance program’s age requirements. ($115 value)

If they register their equipment within three months of joining LICA, the new LICA contractor member will receive a 30% discount off the regular registration fees at the National Equipment Register (NER).

 

The new contractor member may request a complimentary copy of the Wetlands Conservation video or DVD, a 17-minute instructional video/DVD on the benefits and techniques needed for wetlands restoration which was filmed during the MLICA 2000 Field Days.  It also includes resource contact information.

Business Insurance

The LICA Safety Insurance program is underwritten by United Fire & Casualty. Participating contractor members can purchase coverage for his/her business, equipment, and employees, with the potential of a premium dividend. The LICA Safety Insurance program has paid a premium dividend, ranging from 3.5% to 18%, in eight of the ten years it's been operating.

AD&D Insurance

Each active Contractor member receives a complimentary $50,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance policy, with the ability to purchase additional AD&D coverage for their full-time employees, spouse, and/or children at a reduced rate. (Age restrictions apply.)

Contractor Safety Management Program

This comprehensive safety program is provided free to LICA contractor members and includes recommended safe operating procedures. The primary objective of this program is to ensure effective control of accidents in the construction industry. It is designed to serve as your individual company accident prevention program or as a supplement to your existing program.

National Equipment Register Discount

LICA contractor members can register their equipment on the National Equipment Register (NER) HELPtech database to deter theft; search against the nation's largest database of stolen construction and farm equipment; reduce their chance of buying stolen equipment; and/or submit a theft report and significantly increase the chance of recovering their equipment ... all at a 20% discount off NER’s regular registration fees!

Petrocon Discount Program

Petrocon is a Petroleum Consumer’s Group representing lubricant users across North America. As a contractor member of LICA, the normal $2,500 registration fee is waived and you can begin saving on your oil, tire, lubricant and anti-freeze purchases.

LICA Limited Medical Plan

The Limited Medical Plan* is available to LICA members. Benefits include indemnity first dollar coverage for: Dr. Visits, Diagnostics, Minor Surgery, Daily Hospital and much more! We now have insured RX coverage up to $2,500 per year for less than $20 a month and Dental coverage, as well as, other ancillary protection. Eligibility and Pricing: Group coverage with no pre-existing condition limitations available for companies with a little as two participating employees. Plans start at $51.42/month for an individual.

This program is designed for companies with hourly, part time, or non-benefit eligible employees; and companies that do not offer health insurance, but would like an affordable option for limited medical insurance.

Hotel Savings Card

National LICA Contractor Magazine

The LICA Contractor magazine was launched in 2007 and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. This quarterly publication is used to keep LICA members up to date in their industry, as well as to highlight our members’ unique and challenging projects.

Education

At both the National and State Winter Conventions, we offer educational courses specifically designed to impact our members' bottom line. These classes cover a variety of topics such as new construction techniques, business development, safety, regulations, personal growth, business opportunities, governmental agency updates, etc.

Industry Information & Subscriptions

Both National LICA and Missouri LICA distribute a newsletter filled with regulation updates, member updates, Associate Members' product/service information, calendar of events, safety information, and legislative updates. In addition to the National LICA News and Missouri LICA News, complimentary subscriptions to the LICA Contractor Magazine, Land & Water Magazine and the Drainage Contractor Magazine are provided to each contractor member. These magazines are industry specific, informative trade publications.

A Network for Solutions

A Contractor Membership in MLICA includes a membership in a local state district, the state chapter, a national region, and the national association. Events hosted by each of these groups allow our contractor members to network with other contractors doing similar work and/or governmental agencies regulating that work. Problems are discussed and solutions developed through these contacts.

Buying Power

Our Associate members exhibit at both the National and State Winter Conventions and often offer discounts to attendees. Their support throughout the year introduces our members to the latest technology, equipment, and supplies that pertain to our industry. Each Associate member is listed in the Missouri LICA Directory and Buyer's Guide.

Scholarship Programs

Missouri LICA offers a $1,000 scholarship through Linn State Technical College, the only heavy equipment operators school in the state of Missouri. National LICA offers a scholarship program for college students. Applications for these scholarship programs may be obtained by contacting the Missouri LICA office.
