Special First-Year
Membership Benefits |
|
For the first year
of membership, the new Active Contractor member will receive one complimentary registration to the Winter Convention (pre-registration
required). The contractor will be responsible for travel and hotel expenses,
but Missouri LICA will pick up his/her registration fee. ($140 value)
In addition, the new contractor’s spouse will receive a
complimentary $50,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment policy for the first
year of membership, as long as the spouse meets the insurance program’s age
requirements. ($115 value)
The new contractor member may
request a complimentary copy of the Wetlands Conservation video, a 17-minute
instructional video on the benefits and techniques needed for wetlands
restoration which was filmed during the MLICA 2000 Field Days. It also
includes resource contact information. |

Business Insurance |
|
The LICA Safety Insurance program is underwritten by the
Continental Western Insurance Group. Participating contractor members contractor can purchase
coverage for his/her business, equipment, and employees, with the potential
of a premium dividend. This program has paid a premium dividend, ranging
from 2.5% to 13%, in seven of the eight years it's been operating. |

AD&D Insurance |
|
Contractors
under the age of 75 are protected by a $50,000 Accidental Death and
Dismemberment policy, with the ability to purchase additional coverage for
their spouse and/or full-time employees at a discounted rate. |
|
Life Insurance |
|
A complimentary $5,000 Term-Life insurance
policy is provided to contractor members under the age of 65. At the age of
65, the benefit adjusts to $2,500 and, at the age of 70, the benefit is
terminated. Contractor members may purchase additional Term-Life coverage
for their spouse and/or employees at a discounted rate. |

6-Pack Health Benefits |
|
Through the National LICA, contractor members
receive the 6-Pack Health Benefits package underwritten by Pinnacle Choice.

Theft Reward Program |
|
The National LICA has a reward
program for information leading to the arrest of a person or persons
involved in vandalism or theft of our members’ equipment. In addition,
LoJack offers LICA members a discount on purchases of their security
equipment. CNA Insurance offers an additional discount to policy holders
with LoJack equipment installed. |

Education |
|
At both the
National and State Winter Conventions, we offer educational courses
specifically designed to impact our members' bottom line. These classes cover a variety of topics such as
new construction techniques, business development, safety, regulations, personal growth,
business opportunities, governmental agency updates, etc. In addition, MLICA
offers special training on OSHA trench safety regulations, subsurface
drainage, and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the Onsite Wastewater
System Installer license. These classes are offered at a large discount for
MLICA contractors and their employees. |

Industry Information & Subscriptions |
|
Both National LICA and Missouri
LICA distribute a newsletter filled with regulation updates, member updates,
Associate Members' product/service information, calendar of events, safety
information, and legislative updates. In addition to the National
LICA News and Missouri LICA News (bi-monthly newsletters), complimentary subscriptions to
the Land & Water Magazine and the Drainage Contractor Magazine
are provided to each contractor member. These magazines are industry
specific, informative trade publications. |

A Network for Solutions |
|
A Contractor Membership in MLICA
includes a membership in a local state district, the state chapter, a
national region, and the national association. Events hosted by each of
these groups allow our contractor members to network with other contractors
doing similar work and/or governmental agencies regulating that work.
Problems are discussed and solutions developed through these contacts. |

Buying Power |

Our Associate members exhibit at
both the National and State Winter Conventions and often offer discounts to
attendees. Their support throughout the year introduces our members to the
latest technology, equipment, and supplies that pertain to our industry.

The State office has copies of
educational videos such as The Greening of Planet Earth, Livestock
Lagoon Construction, Wetland Victims, Reinvesting in American
Watersheds, Weltands Restoration, and One Call - Underground
Damage Prevention, that are available to be checked-out by our members. |
